Meet Megan Kristel, Founder and CEO
Megan Kristel is an entrepreneur, professional speaker, and personal stylist. In 2006, at just 26 years old, Megan founded Kristel Closets, Inc. as a resource for busy, practical women looking for down-to-earth style solutions. What started as a small practice out of a spare bedroom in her home, quickly grew into a multi-region firm. The firm now has a team of professional stylists and personal shoppers in Northern New Jersey, Philadelphia Metro, and Washington D.C. Metro. For over a decade the Kristel Closets team has evolved into a group of women committed to serving a client list composed of women of all shapes, sizes, and lifestyles.
At the core of Kristel Closets is Megan’s commitment to women. “I saw an underserved group of women. They wanted to look great, were willing to invest in it, but couldn’t find anything that fit their needs. Our clients are grown-ups, with their priorities in order who manage an extensive list of commitments. All of our clients work, whether it’s in or out of the home. Many go into an office, or run their own business, some run their homes, others are retired. The common thread of our clientele is that they are hard working, high functioning women. They’re the kind of women I like to hang out with, so it makes sense that they’re our clients! They want practicality and style, which is hard to find in the fashion world. We’re different because we don’t want to work with celebrities, or the ‘ladies who lunch’ crowd. Plenty of companies do that. What about the rest of the women? That’s who we serve.”
Before she built Kristel Closets, Inc., Megan bought and developed products and programs at the home shopping powerhouse, QVC. Megan now travels the country speaking and training executive teams on presence and personal brand through her company, Megan Kristel, Inc. She is the Editor and Creative Director for the popular blog, The Well Dressed Life, a lifestyle site she created based on the needs and questions of her Kristel Closets’ clients.
As a public speaker, Megan’s sell out workshops incorporate her trademark humor and disarming nature with real life advice and practical solutions. In 2011, Megan started Style Maker University, a resource for established and aspiring stylists, helping them create profitable image business through coaching, workshops, products, and 1:1 mentoring.
Megan is a graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business with a BA in Marketing. She is als an alumnus of Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority, Xi Chapter. She lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband, Brian, and daughters Madeline and Ava.
