Firm Profile

Higgins & Smith was formed in 2007 when partners Tim Higgins and Anne Smith saw a need for a different kind of CPA firm in their community of Newnan, Georgia. Believing that service should be at the forefront of any successful business, the two set out to create a firm that would listen to their clients and respond to their needs in a timely and relevant manner.

Beyond service, Higgins & Smith strives to provide the highest levels of professionalism and quality to our clients. We are continually improving our own professional knowledge through education and training. We hold ourselves to a high standard which is reflected in the quality of the work we produce. Beyond our own standards, our internal systems are subject to an independent peer review conducted by an outside CPA firm under standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Our clients are assured of personal attention from our professional staff. We value relationships and view every client relationship as a partnership. We enjoy participating in our clients' success and hope you will see us as a trusted advisor.

Office

In 2009, Higgins & Smith looked to cease leasing office space and find a permanent home in Newnan. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase and renovate a building in historic, downtown Newnan. For 53 years, the Higgins & Smith office building was in operation as Newnan Seed Store. Renovating a former retail space into professional office space was a major undertaking but the outcome has been well worth the effort. We are proud to be a member of the downtown community and proud to show off our space to our clients.

Higgins & Smith received a 2010 Preservation Award for Restoration of a Historic Commercial Building from the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society
